AMP E-Bikes Stark Varg wheel-set is built to be one of the most affordable supermoto options available, while still using a material and machining standard that suits the clean, high-end aesthetic of the Varg. The design focuses on durability, accurate fitment, and a finish that complements the bike’s modern look.
The rims are manufactured from 7116-T6 aluminium, a high-strength alloy with excellent resistance to flexing and deformation. Available in 17x3.5 and 17x4.25 widths, they provide a stable rim structure during repeated braking cycles and extended road use.
The hubs are CNC-machined from 6082-T6 aluminium, which offers higher tensile strength and improved fatigue performance compared to the 6061-T6 alloys commonly used in standard aftermarket hubs. The T6 temper delivers increased stiffness and structural reliability in the spoke-flange area, where loading is highest.
Spokes are 8G (3.5 mm) 304 stainless steel, chosen for their corrosion resistance and ability to maintain tension. The spoke layout and cross-lace pattern are matched to the hub flange angles to maintain even distribution.
Each wheel is assembled and tensioned using controlled adjustments. Spoke tension is checked with calibrated tools to ensure uniform loading across the entire wheel. After the tensioning phase, each wheel undergoes a balancing process to correct mass distribution across the rim and hub assembly. The result is a wheel that runs smoothly at all speeds with reduced vibration and improved tyre contact consistency.
Fitment is matched specifically to the 2024–2025 Stark Varg, with hub spacing, rotor alignment, and axle diameter machined to suit the Varg’s geometry without requiring modification.
